Q9 Stepped into the PRC Market

KONG) ¡V Q9 Technology Holdings Limited (¡¥Q9¡¦, the ¡¥Company¡¦, together with its
subsidiaries, the ¡¥Group¡¦; stock code: 8129) announced today the Group has
signed a licensing agreement with UTStarcom Telecom Company Limited (¡¥UTStarcom¡¦¡¦;
NASDAQ stock code: UTSI), a well known mobile communication service
provider. Q9 CIS will be embedded into the mobile phones for Personal Access
System/Interactive Personal Access System (¡¥PAS/ iPAS¡¦) (also known as
¡¥Xiaolingtong¡¦). This licensing agreement is a crucial step for the Group to
enter the PRC market.
Q9
reached an agreement with UT Starcom to provide Q9 CIS for various models of
¡¥Xiaolingtong¡¦ mobile phones. PAS is wireless communication system with
technology combining fixed line with wireless connection. It leverages on the
fixed line network to provide wireless voice and data communication in
prescribed area. According to the agreement, Q9 CIS will be embedded into all
types of ¡¥Xiaolingtong¡¦ mobile phones, which is included Q9 Chinese and English
software, and the first batch will be launched in mid-July.
